This makeup course provides expert Makeup education which consists of both theory & practical training and the vital requirements needed when working with clients in a salon or professional environment- such as health and safety training, anatomy of the skin, consultation techniques, treatment procedures, after care, along with business & Social media advice.
you’ll be provided with a digital & paper back makeup manual & business pack. assessments will also be conducted during the course.

COURSE LAY OUT:

THEORY- you’ll be educated and assessed on the health & safety legislations, professional conduct when working with clients, client consultations, the anatomy of the skin, skin types and concerns, contraindications and so much more. Theory is a vital part of your course and is needed to help you understand the legal requirements that come with working as a professional makeup artist

DEMO - Watch, observe, take notes or even film this section. Our tutor Charlotte will be creating 3 versatile makeup looks on 3 different models over the 2 day course. Each model will have different skin Types, undertones, eye colours etc. The demonstrations will help you understand how to successfully conduct a client consultation, choose the correct product finishes and shades for the individual model, how to enhance and bring out the models best features and how to correctly place / apply products to get a professional finish. You’re able to ask questions through out The Demo’s and each demo will be followed by photography tips.

PRACTICAL- this will be your time to shine. you’ll take everything you learnt from the theory & demonstration to practice and Implement the techniques on your model.

CASE STUDIES- Once your 2 day training is complete you’ll be required to complete a minimum of 2 case studies (makeup looks) in your own time. This is a great way for you to gain confidence, find your style , face challenges head on and learn how to resolve them using the knowledge you’ve learned from your course.

ASSESSMENT DAY - you will return for a 3 hour assessment day 2 weeks after training.
